About this Course

This is an Accredited Course by the Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), at MQF/EQF Level 5, with 6 ECTS.

The aim of the course is to create Trainers that are: focused, creative, enthusiastic, encouraging, consistent, patient, authentic and credible. The participants will learn how to be more confident during their presentations, how to engage the participants in an effective and productive manner and how to adjust their training techniques to the type of audience that is in front of them.

The Level 5 Training the Trainer Award is aimed at those who frequently need to develop training programmes and deliver presentations. Throughout the course participants will be able to learn how to create their own training programmes and deliver them in a successful and effective manner.

The course will equip participants with the essential skills and techniques to enable them to identify training needs, plan, design and deliver training.

This course will enable learners to:

Persons working in small, medium or large organisations who are responsible for training and or deliver training and trainers who need to enhance their training skills..

Awarding Body

This qualification is awarded by the Malta Foundation for Human Resources Development. This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. The MFHEA deems this Award in Training the Trainer to be at MQF/EQF Level 5 with 6 ECTS in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should hold:

  • • A minimum of a Maltese Matriculation Certificate (or equivalent qualifications)

 If an applicant does not meet the above entry requirements, you are encouraged to contact the Academy for an interview.

Assessment Mode

  • Participants will be required to submit an Activity Sheet and based on this, deliver a short presentation at the end of the programme.

Grading: The case study will be corrected, and students must achieve a pass mark of at least 50 % and are required to attend 80% of the entire tuition sessions in order to be given a certification.  

Language of Instruction & Delivery Mode

This programme will be delivered in English at the FHRD’s training centre in Sliema.

    Planning, Designing and Delivering Training

    - Carrying out tasks responsibly to ensure that the training sessions are delivered successfully.

    - Creating innovative ideas in managing projects and participants.

    - Ensuring that participants feel comfortable and welcomed during the learning process.

    - Managing problems arising from the course of training.

    - Dealing with factors which may impede participants to learn.

    - Ensuring that the right communication skills are used during the learning process.
