About this Course
This is an Accredited Course by the Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), at MQF/EQF Level 7, with 90 ECTS.
By enrolling in this program, students will gain advanced knowledge in the field of international management and global business, including cross-cultural management, international marketing, global strategy, and international trade. Students will gain an understanding of how to manage and operate a business globally, including how to navigate cultural differences, regulations and other challenges that arise in a global context.
In addition, students will be exposed to current trends and best practices in international management and global business, which can be used to improve organisational performance in a global context. This program will prepare students for a career in international management and global business in a variety of industries such as consulting, finance, marketing, trade, and others.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the learner will be able to:
- Master multidisciplinary knowledge of effective global business strategy, including market entry, globalisation and growth
- Master theoretical and practical knowledge of global business strategy including the development, implementation and execution of business strategies for global operations
- Master knowledge of the key principles of project management and their application to real-world projects
- Master multi-disciplinary theoretical and practical knowledge of compliance with ethics and professional standards (including critically appraising industry trends and monitoring best practices) within their profession and industry / aspiring profession and industry
- Master theoretical and practical knowledge of business research, the research process and the role of theory and empirical evidence in the creation of knowledge, the design and conduct of research projects in real-world settings

This qualification is awarded by Ascencia Malta. This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. MFHEA deems this Master of Arts (MA) in International Management and Global Business to be at MQF/EQF Level 7 with 90 ECTS in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Entry Requirements
Students who have no training in the field must have completed a bachelor’s in a relevant subject or have completed an MQF/EQF Level 6 qualification. However, students’ circumstances and experiences may also be considered during the application process—five years of relevant working experience in the industry of specialization. Kindly view our RPL (recognition of prior learning) previously approved by the MFHEA policy in Appendix A.
Similarly, students applying for the course need to be fluent in English since the course is taught in English. Therefore, proof of B2 level of English should be provided by the students upon application – IELTS level/grade 6 or the student’s country equivalent.

- Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree in business, administration, commerce, sciences, finance, management, human resources, retail or a related field
- Minimum 180 ECTS at MQF Level 6 previously acquired at a Higher Education institution
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- A minimum of one year of work experience in a business environment will be considered as an asset

Assessment Mode
When it comes to assessment methods, we have included quite a variety that will allow learners with different learning styles and abilities to complete the programme successfully. Students will also have to prepare individual, and team reports and presentations, apart from written and multiple-choice examinations. In addition, they will have to prepare a thesis and submit assignments.
Language of Instruction & Delivery Mode
This programme will be delivered in English in our Campus in Floriana. The course will be delivered through a flexible combination of modern face-to-face lectures, webinars, seminars and discussion forums, tutorials, group work, case studies, guest speakers, organisational visits and independent study.
