About this Course
This is an Accredited Course by the Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), at MQF/EQF Level 4 with 60 ECTS.
This programme has been designed to introduce learners to the real estate intermediation profession and subsequently assist them into gaining knowledge within the various sectors such profession deals with:
- Understanding the Real Estate Market and how this market is operated
- Understanding and knowledge of how the real estate market contributes towards the Maltese Economy
- Be wary of the various operational legislations pertaining to Real Estate profession
- Gain communication and presentation skills
- Capable of understanding and working on financial matters pertaining to both the property investment aspects as well as the operation of a real estate intermediation business together with understanding Financing availabilities and methods
- Understand and deliver opinions about building sustainability
- Capability of proposing various space planning options
- Gain knowledge on how to conduct research, present and implement Market Analysis, Strategy and use of Marketing Techniques
- Be aware of the various compliance matters related to property development, policies, sanitary requirements together with other compliance requirement
- Understands the roles and importance of various professionals
- Capable of understanding Contract Law, Contract Process and Contractual responsibilities
- Be aware of the importance of collecting and storing relevant data and the importance of the GDPR legislation
- Be knowledgeable about the operation and responsibilities of serving as a responsible person in line with the PMLFT legislation.

Awarding Body
This qualification is awarded by Malta Facilities Management Academy and Consultancy (MFMAC). This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. The MFHEA deems this Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Real Estate Intermediation to be at MQF/EQF Level 4 with 60 ECTS in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Entry Requirements
Students should be in possession of a minimum School Leaving Certificate MQF Level 3 AND License of real estate manager AND/OR
- Be in possession of one of the following:
- Secondary Education Certificate in English as issued by Matsec at grade 5 or higher.
- Or IELTs 6.o 0r an equivalent qualification.

Assessment Mode
This programme shall be assessed by making use of mixed methods to ensure that the learners have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge and have obtained the stipulated learning outcomes.
This course, therefore, includes exams inclusive of open-ended questions and multiple-choice questions, individual assignments and presentations, group assignments and presentations and case studies.
The programme also makes use of formative assessments through observation and in-class discussions.
Language of Instruction & Delivery Mode
This programme will be delivered in English in our Campus in San Gwann.
The course will be delivered through a flexible combination of modern face-to-face lectures, seminars and discussion forums, tutorials, group work, case studies, guest speakers and independent study.
