About this Course
This is an Accredited Course by the Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), at MQF/EQF Level 5 with 60 ECTS.
This course is intended at those who already work in Facilities and Construction for upskilling purposes. Furthermore, those applying for the course can also aspire for a managerial post in facilities planning and management.
Following the completion of this programme learners will have the employment opportunity to work as a facilities manager in building sites.
Learning Outcomes
Through the successful completion of this programme, learners will be able to:

Awarding Body
This qualification is awarded by Malta Facilities Management Academy and Consultancy (MFMAC). This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. The MFHEA deems this Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Facilities Management to be at MQF/EQF Level 5 with 60 ECTS in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Entry Requirements
Students should be at least 18 years+ and in possession of a minimum MQF Level 5 in Facilities Management or related OR
- Undergraduate Diploma in Facilities Management (MQF Level 5, 60 ECTS)
AND be in possession of
- Grade 5 in English (Matsec Certificate)
- IELTs 6.0 Or an equivalent qualification.

- Create and implement strategies to overcome challenges posed by emerging trends and innovations in FM

- Comply with the Health and Safety regulations governing construction and building services
- Monitor various trends and issues related to the built environment such as climate change
Assessment Mode
This programme shall be assessed by making use of mixed methods to ensure that the learners have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge and have obtained the stipulated learning outcomes.
This course, therefore, includes exams inclusive of open-ended questions and multiple-choice questions, individual assignments and presentations, group assignments and presentations and case studies.
The programme also makes use of formative assessments through observation and in-class discussions.
Language of Instruction & Delivery Mode
This programme will be delivered in English in our Campus in Zebbug.
The course will be delivered through a flexible combination of modern face-to-face lectures, seminars and discussion forums, tutorials, group work, case studies, guest speakers and independent study.
